Energy is of great use and now it is divided into Fossil fuels, nuclear sources and renewable sources. As the industrial revolution took place in the 19th century, fossil fuels were primarily being used as heat suppliers. The reason to the use of fossil fuel is because it was very easy for energy to be generated and it only required a direct combustion. With the use of fossil fuels it is also a fact that a lot of pollution is caused because of the fossil fuels since the use of fossil fuels emits a lot of carbon dioxide into the air.
It has been noted that sources like hydro electric, solar and wind are very main sources that are very useful; they all come under one category of Renewable energy sources. Use of the hydroelectric, solar and wind has become very prominent in the recent years. Solar energy as known these are the rays of the sun that are transformed into energy. Sun is one source that sends its energy to all directions on the earth. The amount of energy received from the sun does vary from country to country because of the difference in time and sun does not shine only in one place all the time.
Advantages received from solar energy are, they do not cause pollution and they often act as a supplement to other renewable sources. Biomass energy is one of the oldest in its form the stored energy from the plants is converted into the energy that we use. As renewable energy, Biomass also has many possibilities such as,there are high energy crops that are grown specifically to be used as fuel. Wind energy, it is a known fact that wind energy is dependable on sun since wind energy gets its energy from the sun. Wind energy does vary from the lightest breeze to a hazardous hurricane or tornado.
As the air moves faster from place to place that much stronger is the wind, scientists usually use anemometer to measure the rate at which the wind blows. Nuclear energy is one of the most important sources of energy that is used across the world.
It is said about 1/5th of the electricity in the world has been produced by the nuclear power. People became aware of Nuclear power when two bombs were dropped in Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan it is during the end of the World War II and that is time when people knew about nuclear power. Nuclear energy is used on a wide range in driving the machines in the factory and also used in light and heating.
