A question about homemade jams and jellies…?
TweetWhen you make your own homemade jams and jellies, and do it properly, what is the shelf life? How long can you keep them without them spoiling? I am thinking of making jams and jellies to give as gifts next Christmas using fruits from this coming spring and summer.
I am interested in jarring homemade sauces, salsas, chutneys; do you jar them the same as you would for jam?
TweetI understand how to jar jams/jellies, but can the same be done for sauces etc? And for a salsa, chutney, or sauce, what is the shelf life unopened?
