There's a product that is called: "Sucker Stopper RTU" that is made from the plant growth regulator Napthaleneacetate (NAA). This product is widely used in commercial agriculture to prevent suckers and as a thinning agent on fruit trees.

It comes in a ready-to-use spray bottle. I've used it on my olive trees and it works quite well. Following is a website that discusses the product in detail.

Hope it works for you. Good luck!

Hi there, if it was driving me mad then i would just get someone to cut the whole thing down and kill the roots, then plant something really really nice of which i could manage. You could try to cut off all the nobs and hope for the best but it could possibly kill the whole thing but i suppose you could try x
