Question by Kay Sweet: my partner has both Mild Cystic Fibrosis and was recently diagnosed with Very Mild Aspergers last year?
i found out about the CF quite early in the relationship and dealt with it. a Physiologist diagnosed him with very mild Aspergers last year but somehow i don’t think its correct. hes not socially awkward hes very sociable. And he doesn’t have fits just at times hes got a bit of a temper not with me, but gets worked up about little things but so do i. Plus he is organized, but the Obsession he has with cats i think relates alot to his mother. Don’t get me wrong hes mothers a lovely woman but i don’t think hes willing to tell the physiologist the whole truth she has brainwashed him with cats. Cats are everywhere the bedroom, front room, kitchen, garden the landing even on the stairs there are pictures and ornament’s of cats so how can you not get obsessive if you have been brought up in that and brought pictures of cats every year and books from childhood? I Love him with all my heart and always will. He says he didn’t want to tell me about being diagnosed with Aspergers cause he thought i would leave him, to be honest i’m having my doubts. i myself have suffered through bullying, serious anxiety, and domestic violence plus a small kidney in my child hood and mental issues being raised in a bad background. What do you think i should do? I need help decideing i will take your answers seriously if i think thier worth listening to Thankyou.

Best answer:

Answer by Alice
I see no reason why you could not have a long and loving relationship.

If the cats are really bothering you, and I sense that they are, then just sit down and talk with him about it. Ask him if he could find a way to be happy with a more normal level of cat-related decor. If you can get him to watch some shows like “Clean House” on Style and “Hoarders–Buried Alive” on TLC, he might decide he can bear to part with some of them, as long as they go to an appropriate place. I suggest that you find a rummage sale that benefits the Humane Society, or something like that. If you can get him turned on to cleaning and organizing, that could help him overcome some of his hoarding tendencies, but of course he will have to work at it.

Good luck.

Question by Dazzy Girl: A case of Friends with Benefits rated M (Some strong details)?
Ok so i have this thing with my step mums friend’s son. He’s 16 and im 14 in july. he just turned 16 2 weeks ago.

last summer we went to his holiday home up in Cavan (A county in Ireland–Im irish and am from dublin) anyway me and (ill give initials) C.N were cleaning his step dads boat on the lake. A neighbor who was 14 helped us. turns out we r all friends in the end and C.N knows her.
After we clean the boat the girl goes home and me and C.N go into the bottom of the boat where there is a small kitchen and living room space. We decide to watch a film so he goes and pops popcorn and i picked a film to watch in the bedroom area.
When we got the film going i was only wearing my oversize Adidas jumper from New York, Denim shorts and flip flops. about 15 Mins into the film C.N moved closer and put his arm around me. Im his Best friend so i snuggled closer. He lifted my chin up and just kissed me on the mouth. I was a little startled and then started kissing back. He started feeling around my waist and then put his hand down my pants. I wont give details but he made me orgasm. After we just had a major make out session and then i started to feel him. Anyway you get the jist kept moaning so i told him to stop and he said he coucouldn’tlp it and that he liked it. It was quite funny and every time he moaned i told him to shut up. He came and then we just fell asleep for a bit.

Ok so that part of the story no were goin to ggoing 2 weeks ago. C.N is just turned 16 and im turning 14 this july.

I was at his party and some of his friends were there. Near the end when only close friends (adults) were left C.N slipped out the back to the out house/ Office. He said he wanted to show me something so i followed. Once inside he brought me over to the leather couch and told me he really liked me . i told him so did i. Then he just started kissing me and we did the whole Boat thing again. When we righted ourselves we went outside. We were crossing the garden holding hands and giggling like kids. I looked up to the house and saw my step mum watching us while we held hands and had heavy lidded eyes.So i quickly let go and pretended nothing happened.

Thats it. Now i need to figure out if i should end it or keep it my secret? I dont think its fair i keep him held back with me and not with a girl his own age yet i still wnt to be with him.

Ive come to a conclusion and its to keep friends and just end it but still remember i had that experience with him. I did and still do like him alot but i think i should let him go. I am only 13 and im not ready for this type of relationship. im not stupid and i kow about sex protection and all that and so there is no need for anyone to tell me i could get knocked up with C.N junior or anything i mean come on i have a whole life ahead of me!!!
Ok thanks for the answers and pointing out the obvious for me i feel stupid for writting that story and i kno its illegal aswel but has that stopped some of the more stupid girls who get pregnant at 12 or 14? No thats what i dont get AT ALL!! i would sooo not have sex at my age even if i did have some form of it.

Thank you again ppl|!!! xx
I would like to thank cshar for his/her help but i have to disagree with u on one thing and that is about him thinking of me as cheap and only getting pleasure off me, i know all that i read the paper and look this stuff up with my BFF Ciara and ill just say that C.N treats me very well and has known me since i was 8 and i would never giver my self around to boys like that. My bff ciara said it was a Heat of the moment thing and i agree i wasnt really thinking like a clever person so thank you some more for everyones advice. Ive sworn off sex stuff till im at least 15/16
ta very much pplz! and to IceHeart whos my bff under cover. Hey Ciara!!

Best answer:

Answer by mc_hammark
yeah… i’d end it… especially since it’s illegal…

Question by Amara: Cats splashing water from their bowls?
My fiance has a 17 year old cat, Nicky, that likes to dip his paws in his water bowl and splash water everywhere. He drags his bowl all over the bathroom (and kitchen when it was in there) and gets water all over the floor. Sometimes I will see him dipping his paws as if to clean them and then he drinks the water. Since we have gotten a new kitten, he will spill his water and then drink from the kitten’s bowl after dipping his paws in it. He doesn’t actually tip the bowls over, he just moves them and splashes in them so that they spill.

My fiance says he has always done this. His father used to put those small garden cinder blocks around his bowl to keep him from moving it, but he would still dip his paws and splash out water. We have no idea why he dirties up his water or splashes it out so that he doesn’t have any. We switched his bowl from a shiny stainless steel one to a dark blue plastic one, but he still does it.

Any ideas or suggestions to make him stop or why he does this?
He doesn’t splash like he’s batting at the water, it is more like he is scooping it out. My fiance thought that maybe he can’t tell where the waters edge is so he does that, but we have both seen him walk up to his bowl and drink just fine with no splashing. We are just confused and wondering how to get him to stop. Luckily, our 9 month old kitten doesn’t do it.

Answer by Morky
my cat does this too, he awalys has, he knocks the water out, dips paws in, knocks the bowl all over the room!!!
i think he’s playing becuase i’ve seen him walk up drink normally and walk away too.
its annoying though isnt it, i’m always cleaning the foor!
my other cat didnt do this at all, never bothered.
weird i dont know, just personality quirks i think. !

What do you think? Answer below!

Okay, so my kitchen caught fire – luckily only the oven, grill and the surrounding objects were ruined. Before hand, me and my family ran out into the garden for safety but I then realised the 6 kittens we have were still in there. I ran back in with my mum into the lounge and managed to find four of them, then my mum found the other two in the dining room asleep.

Now, this wasn’t some big Hollywood fire, only a small kitchen fire but if it was one on a mass scale should I / would you still save your pets?

Best answer:

Answer by Nuala
Here’s a example of saving a beloved pet which fortunately turned out okay in LEBANON, Ohio – A woman suffered minor smoke inhalation during a fire early Monday morning while trying to save her two pets. The woman was taken to the hospital but is expected to be okay. She did get the two animals, known as sugar gliders, out in time. The woman told fire officials she woke up to smoke and ran outside with her one-year old. She then decided to go back in for the sugar gliders. “She’s just that type of person where her pets mean everything in the world to her,” her grandfather Bill Wamsley says. “Once outside you really need to stay out,” Lebanon fire chief Michael Hannigan says.

“Typically if the doors are open the animals will find their own way out.” In a fire, the main goal is to get your family out as quickly as possible, but what about the family pet? “If a pet is in cardiac arrest or unconscious, we can do CPR with the stuff we have in our kits,” fire fighter Tyson Taylor said. The Fuquay Varina Fire Department now has the equipment including oxygen masks of all sizes and the training to save animals — big or small. “Our training includes birds, lizards, frogs, any animal,” Taylor said. Local vets including Mary Ann McBride, owner of Hilltop Animal Hospital, are also getting involved, making their staff available 24/7 to help in case of emergencies.

Harry was a poor tailor whose shop was next door a 2 Star Restaurant. Every day for lunch, Harry would eat his black bread and herring in the small garden at the back of his shop. He would always smell the wonderful odours emanating from the next door restaurant’s kitchen.

One day, the restaurant sent Harry an invoice. Harry went to see the manager to ask why.

The manager replied, “You’re enjoying my food, so you should pay for it.”

Harry refused to pay and the restaurant sued him. At the hearing, the judge asked the restaurant to present their side of the story.

They said, “Every day, this man comes and sits near our kitchen and visibly smells our food whilst eating his. We are obviously adding value to his cheap food and we deserve to be recompensed for it.”

The judge then asked Harry, “And what do you have to say about that?”

Harry said nothing but stuck his hand in his pocket and rattled around the coins he had inside.

The judge asked him, “What’s the meaning of that?”

Harry replied, “I am paying for the smell of his food with the sound of my money.”
When the antenna of my small television in India broke, I looked up the relevant part’s number in the manual provided by the company and wrote to them asking for a replacement.

When the package arrived, I was furious to see that they had sent Part No 699 when I had actually asked them for No 669. I shot off an angry missive to their Public Relations Dept.

Their reply: Turn it upside-down.
Ok, so I’m getting a cat. He’s a tabby cat and is just under a year old.

Firstly, I would like to say that I live in England and in England we always have inside/outside cats. There are no preditors, and it is just culture so if you are going to tell me to keep my cat inside then I’m sorry but I’m not going to do that.

There is nowhere to put a catflap in my house so I thought maybe these arrangements would be suitable. But I’m not sure. Please tell me what you think.

In the morning I will feed it and then I will let it out at 9:00am (when I go to work). I will leave the door from the conservatory to the garden open (but the door from the conservatory to my hosue will be locked) so the cat can get back to a shelter if he wants to. Don’t worry, there will be nothing of value in there. Just an old rocking chair and some comfy cushions. Of course I will put his food, water, and toys in there as well.

I will come home at 3:00 and let the cat inside the house with me. And I will play with it and give it love and affection and in the evening I will feed it again. Then, when it’s time for bed, I will put him in the kitchen. It is a very small kitchen with all his things. Will he be ok in the kitchen? Will he try to climb onto the worktops? Could he cut himself on anything sharp? I don’t really want him going round any other rooms in the house at night, when I am not there to watch him because I have a hamster and I don’t want to risk the hamster being attacked by the cat. I just want to give him the happiest, healthiest life possible, whilest being practical.

Please, please, PRETTY please, give me some advice!

Thanks so much,

XD XD XD XD XD
I’ve looked into putting a catflap in the conservatory but it’s a lean-to conservatory and you can’t get replacement doors for those anyway. I’d have to get a whole new conservatory, and I don’t have the money to do that.
I would neuter, vacinate, worm, and give it flea and tick treatment so it wouldn’t catch any nasty diseases or go round making other females pregnant.

Best answer:

Answer by Skittles
Sounds good. And with cats, you can leave dry food out for them all day ’cause they just eat throughout the day. ^-^

Question by Raccoon Hawk: how much sunlight is lost through a window?
i have a very small yard and therefore a very small garden, and on top of that my garden only gets about 4-5 hours of direct sunlight a day. so this year i have some of my better veggies in pots in my kitchen.

my question is, how much sunlight is lost through a thin paned window? there is a screen and a pane on one side of this window, and the other side has two thin panes.

thanks very much.
there is no way 90% of the sunlight is filtered out through a window. someone else told me 10% is lost.
so idk what to make of it now.

Best answer:

Answer by ßob the Narcissist’s Husband
I heard a gardening expert show talk on that – 90% is lost by normal thermo pane (2 glass layers) windows. That explains why new sprouts need to be put in shade when they first go out in the spring because sun is so much stronger outdoors it shocks the plants.

I think you go by the UV protection rating, since it partly UV and the rest infra-red that plants use. The do not use the colors in between.

Question by anna: Can anyone tell me how much a mobile home estimated worth is?
About 1980′s or earlier fleet-wood model single wide with larger master bedroom and garden tub with separate bath/shower. A 2nd 8×8 bedroom with a small bathroom in hall. A small kitchen, dining, bar living room combo. And a very small laundry room in hall. Not in great shape, but somewhat livable if your standards are low. Needs quite of bit of work to repair a leak on roof, floor repair and leaky faucets. The trailer sits on a spot that is not owned by trailer owner. The plumbing pipes need reworked and the septic tank needs reworking. Most of the windows are cracked and don’t seal properly. The floors have holes in places. I want to make a fair offer just to get the people out of it so I can either improve or move it out as it is an eyesore.

Best answer:

Answer by myredneck g
For just the trailer without the land you should offer a few grand tops. Older single-wides are pretty much throwaways. I got one for free that has a good roof, good floor and is very livable.
