Question by Born in the USA: my neighbor puts egg shells in her garden, I was wondering if there is anything else around the kitchen?
that i can use such as apple skins orange peels whatever if so do i have to grind them up

Best answer:

Answer by styrckt
stay away from citrus fruits

but you can use coffee grinds, epsom salt, tums(calcium).potato and other vegetable peels.

If you use egg shells make sure to dry them out for a week or in the microwave after washing them well (remember the salmonela tomatoes plague)

What do you think? Answer below!

ok, i’m a newbie and haven’t done much. i’ve done the research and i’ve decided on becoming a kitchen witch.
what do i need as basics? i’m gonna start a herb garden so advice on that would be good.
please suggest anything else that’s good and i will use often, be it tools, crystals (i’m not too keen on these but whatever you think is good) oils etc

i chose kitchen witchcraft so i will have choice and not be ruled by other’s ideas about witchcraft but i need something to work up from and adapt.

and i welcome christian rants. they’re funny.
“I <3 haters" i'd like to hear the spell.
i could do with being a bit curvier!
who said i pray to venus?
god, learn about something before you pick it apart and criticise it.
just like i learned about christianity before i started picking it apart and criticising it, i expect others to do me the same courtesy.
" treat others how you want to be treated" and all that.
and why the hell would you pray to "god" and "jesus", they're fake gods from over TWO thousand years ago.

god, answering back christians is so fun.
sorry, i didn't mean any mis-interpritation in saying jesus was a god.
i was just typing and thinking too fast
yeah, thanks for the "spell"
you do know that there are different brances of each religion, right?
just like there are wierd cults based on christanity that believe in an all white/christian supremicy, there are people who want to use wicca and witchcraft for selfish spells and curses. they also dance skyclad. that site may be one of them.
(haven't explored it totally yet, but, i know they have revenge spells & more, and as tempting as it is, gods may forgive me, but i wont forgive myself.)
i'm really sorry for ranting now.
and adding too many unnesesary details and stuff.
pleae ignore them cos if i could delete them i would.

Best answer:

Answer by sparklesntwind
your the one ranting for Herbs…do your own research…lazy

Obviously they are cheap and from an unknown brand – what advantage would there be in buying more expensive ones from a more well known source?

Best answer:

Answer by Charlie S
Cheap knives will not hold an edge, I suggest that you purchased brand like Henckels which are made in Germany, I saw that store like Kohls was selling it at a set while it was worth 0(early bird sale). My hunting knives are Case and Buck, both are made in America. Chicago Cutlery do make good knife. Cheap knives will not cut anyway thing except your finger.

Question by madz: How do I attract Blue and Great Tits to feed and nest in my garden?
I live in England,

I have a wire mesh cylinder feeder under an archway covered in ivy,
I have a seed feeder (also under the arch)
And fat balls in a few places.

The feeder is nearly always covered in house sparrows and no other birds seem to want to come.

I also lots of bird boxes all over the garden,

On the kitchen extension,In the hedge ect, ect…

I was just wondering how to attract their attention

Thanks

Best answer:

Answer by c_kayak_fun
I have often heard that blue t1ts love peanuts and crunchy style peanut butter. Someone recommended making a feeder from half of a coconut shell (drill holes for string or chain to hang it) and fill it with the nuts or butter. Of course, keeping the squirrels away will be the big challenge!!

i’ve never grown anything before, but just bought my first house & it has a garden window in the kitchen (and a garden out back) i was wanting to start trying to grow some herbs from seed first, can i do that at anytime during the year inside? any tips?
thanks!
also, any suggestions??
i’m in the pacific northwest.

Best answer:

Answer by sophieb
I’ve never been able to do that, but I’ve seen some people (like relatives and friends) grow herbs in their kitchen window, but it was up north. I would guess that it depends on how hot that spot gets I’d guess.
