i’ve been looking up juice recipes and i keep finding them asking for wheatgrass.

I’m not sure where you’re from but they serve it at juice bars in Australia like boost juice etc. You can buy it there to take home for your own use.

Question by herbman: why have I not found any information on spraying a weak solution of bleach to control Wheatgrass mold.?
Bleach is well known to kill most molds. Since I have started to only water my Wheatgrass from the bottom of the tray, mold has not been a major problem. After the first cutting, I do see small areas where mold has started to develop. I use one ounce of bleach per gallon of water, which I spray directly on the mold. It dissolves the mold. In my research on the internet, no one has talked about using a weak solution of bleach for this purpose.

I think you’ll find that most people who use wheatgrass juice have a specific goal in mind, to maintain or improve their health. In my mind, the concept of introducing toxins by spraying bleach on your wheatgrass contradicts the whole concept of using the juice.

You will read about others that have tried to use Citricide but you will find that the problem is in the growing environment not the process. To remove the mold problem, you have to grow outdoors in a natural environment.

Maybe at a nursery or something. Its possible to find it at a healthfood store but don’t know. I know you can find the wheatgrass juice at the health food places though.

You will get many of the nutrients and the chlorophyll and that is good but the fresh juice is better. You get the actual living enzymes and all of the nutrients.

It’s the same as all other wheatgrass juice: grass put in a blender with some water. Nutritionally worthless and inferior to a Flintstone’s vitamin in every way.

I guess they’re selling it in powdered form now….yay.

I went to jamba juice and got some wheatgrass and the dude told me it cleans the body. what else does it do? And should I drink it everyday? It doesnt taste that great but niether does tequila or other alcohol… and u feel like Sh!t the next day thats why i quit drinking…. Atleast drinking wheatgrass will actually be good for you.

Cranberry juice cleans the body too and probably taste better. Isn’t wheat grass for cows or something? if it cleans your body it will probably go through your body very fast if you get my drift so i wouldn’t drink it everyday. I love tequila and although it doesn’t clean the body it sure gets you drunk!
