I’m very familiar with proper sterilization of canning jars and a hot water bath afterward in jam/jelly making, but I’m now looking to make my own raw almond and peanut butters. Does anyone know if the process is the same? Will it work just the same or will the shelf life be different?
I don’t want to give someone a jar of homemade almond butter and have them pop the lid after a month and find mold inside. Of course it will be refrigerated after opening just like jam.
I googled this topic and can’t find any information on the preservation process.
