I work two job during summer. I have about 10,000 saved up. Its not that I hate it at home. I just feel I could do just fine and want to take on the responsiblity. I am not running away from anything. I have been told over and over by my mother that I will never make it on my own even after 18 and I will move back within a year. She is very negative. I work hard and have good grades. I .....Read More

I watched a bit of a movie on a plane, and I was wondering what the title was. All I saw was a woman going into a bathroom and washing her face from the bathtub, but during that same scene it showed the room being bloody and a woman in the tub watching the other woman. Another scene was where a boy was running away from a bloody person, then seeing a kid with half of his face burned off. .....Read More

He’ll turn 17 next week and I’m deathly afraid for him! Yes, his mom (and me, to some extent) have protected him from the world…but he keeps announcing that he’ll move out right after graduation and live with friends! (He means it)
Still, he has never had a real job, NO idea what it costs to live where we are (NOT cheap!) and thinks he’s going to make it by .....Read More

I don’t know whether there is still any discovery in this field. So please tell me.
Generally in cars, the inside becomes very much heated when parked in hot summer afternoon. To avoid this we use Air conditioners. But can we use a glass that avoids green house effect?

I want to be more self-sufficient, but my parent are paying for my college. This makes it seem as if they still have a hold over me. I live by myself on dorm, but it doesn’t seem like I’m on my own so long as they’re funding for my stay here. What can I do to afford my own college education? It’s 29,000 since fafsa covers about 10,000. I just don’t know how I can .....Read More

I’m bored. I live in Maine. Most outside chores and things are put on hold until the spring, and I’ve been having increasing desires to be self-sufficient. That includes growing food and raising animals for food, neither of which are good to start in the winter time, obviously. But I’d love to do other things for the home as well. I’ve got a lot of space and live .....Read More

Historically, a republic does best when its people are self-sufficient, living within their moderate means, where government is a part-time hobby for the better off — and doesn’t do anything that will outrage the rest of the people — and where the principal matter of state is to leave well enough alone, especially in foreign affairs.
Once a republic starts building an empire (empire .....Read More

I need to replace 3 sliding glass doors and some other windows on my house. I have no clue how much this might cost. I realize it depends on the type of windows, etc, but what would an average cost be for mid-quality windows and installation? Thanks!
